Funded Projects: 2008

The GPK Foundation made its first charitable contributions in 2008, to the Central Asia Institute, the NPR Foundation, and Solid Ground's Lettuce Link program.

"Mailing out our first award checks is an important milestone in the growth of the GPK Foundation," said Peter V. Meyers, the foundation's President. "It has been less than a year since we officially elected our present board and formed our operating committees. I am very pleased with the professionalism, idealism and dedication that [the board members] displayed as we lay the operational groundwork for our Foundation."

A total of $5,000.00 was disbursed in December. The Board elected to send $2,000.00 to the Central Asia Institute, $2,000.00 to the NPR Foundation, and $1,000.00 to Lettuce Link.
